Our 10th Outdoor Art Installation:
"Connecting New Braunfels to the World"
Our Connecting New Braunfels to the World mural was completed in December 2023. The mural celebrates the arrival of the railroad in New Braunfels in 1880, which greatly affected the economy by allowing the shipping and receiving of goods, and also led to the beginning of tourism in this area.
The mural was painted by artist Mindy Allen, using brush and airbrush. Research for this project was provided by the New Braunfels Railroad Museum, which is housed in the 1907 I&GN Railroad Station, across San Antonio Street from the mural.
